Default valve spring compressor attachment?

I need to get the valves back in my D15b7, and the compressor obviously needs some kind of attachment. I have a blue point compressor, its the big hook w/ the big handle.

1. Should I buy the attachment from Honda? What would they call it?

2. Is this also necessary for B series heads? Would it be the same attachment? Since* I need one I would want one that is good for both D's and B's

So I was reading that blue point has one, and IV read Honda makes one.

originally I was considering the thought of making my own, and that may be the route I go down but I'm looking for suggestions/advice/experience.

Buying the actual attachment is stupidly expensive, if you can even find it any more. A number of companies make valve spring compressors for head-on-block jobs. Pick one.

I already have the head off lol, all I have left to do is take all the valves out, leave it in a bucket of de greaser, and then reassemble.

but I wanna make sure IV got the tool to put it back together to cut down on time that the keepers are laying around waiting to be misplaced

Then just buy/borrow/rent any standard valve spring compressor. My build thread has a how-to for the standard C clamp style compressor.

I was digging thru a box of old tools I dont use, for a socket to fit up, and I found this one, already broken or cut or whatever, looks perfect to me.

what do you guys think? It fits the spring retainer, but its really close and when I held it against one that I took out it seems like it will slide off easily
