What do you vin plate / sticker / dash look like? Canada?
I am hoping to gather some information on the different v i n identifications our cars came with. After doing some research some cars came with stickers, some with plates etc.
I am trying to buy a car that my cousin had as a show car for years, and most recently was turned into a track car. My problem is the vin sticker in the door jam was shaved off during a paintjob and to get a label recreated by a certified shop, they require a high res image of what the sticker did look like. I have no idea what an 88 Crx dx made in japan is supposed to look like.
Before I buy the car, even though it most likely wont see public roads, I would like to be able to insure it, and surely they are going to want to see vin stickers in the jamb and not just my firewall, like I said the certified companies that are able to reproduce the stickers make you show the ownership in your name, and a picture of the door jam sticker, which to me doesnt make sence, if you need a sticker made, you obviously ruined the old one or why would you even need them to make it right?
So my question is, what the heck is the sticker supposed to look like? The car is an 88 Crx Dx according to the only vin left on the car (tag above headlight) and was made in Japan and cost $9,200 brand new lol
If anyone could possibly pm me what these stickers would appropriately look like, or what a proper dash plate is supposed to look like on a crx (both lhd and rhd the same?, Id really appreciate it. I will respect your privacy and wouldnt share the pictures obviously
