i planning on buying a eg shell and it has no vin sticker on the door jamb....is it possibly to make a new one or what.? since civics and integras get pulled over like there's no yesterday here, i dont really wanna risk getting the car towed and investigated for missing that vin sticker so let me know if i can make a new one

There's a VIN on the dash and stamped on the firewall in the engine compartment

We have replaced a sticker before on a newer car at my work but it was because the original sticker was destroyed from the wreck.My boss did it through the dealership but not sure how to process works.If your car is an older car i would call the dmv about that one.Ive purchased a car missing the dash vin because the dumbass threw the original dash away when doing a integra dash swap.I called the dmv and they inspected the vehicle and gave me a gave me a special sticker saying the car was legitimate.So thats somthing you might want to do is call you local dmv since every state is different

okay thanks the hatch is a 92 eg hatch it has the vins on the dash and firewall but its just missing the vin sticker on the door jamb....just dont want any problem with the cops cause i bought a hatch before and it turned out it had a hot motor and i lost the car and wasted money so i just dont want the same thing to happen again..well let me know anything else

c'mon seriously i thought this was honda-TECH and its not funny...but is their anymore suggestions...? do you guys think the people that does signs and stickers will be willing to copy one but the different vin on??

It is funny because it is honda-TECH, and asking for a sticker is NOT tech...

Buy a pack of blank stickers and write the vin on it.

Print a sticker from your computer.

Use a label maker.

Do you know why the vin sticker is missing its kinda odd for the sticker to be missing unless the car was dammaged in the door jamb area.like i said the dmv will be your best bet.I know on newer cars its not a problem at all but never delt with older cars.My Eg civic had no vin on the dash but i called the dmv they ran the motor and vins left on the car and gave me paper work.I doubt they would re make a new sticker for you on a older car.

if I recall correctly, supposedly VIN's on the door jambs and trunk area didn't come into play until 1997 or 1998 ? not exactly sure but damn well sure it didn't happen until AFTER 1996....at least for Honda's
