Need help/advice on a 93 accord (trans/front steering)
Hello everyone!
This is my first post on these forums. So ill start with my car specs first.
I own a 1993 honda accord, manual transmission, 2.2L engine. I believe it is a DX model.
Background on the car first.
The transmission has roughly 200k miles on it, but has not had any issues in the past. The engine was recently replaced by a shop. It was Long block (i believe that is the correct term, or rather it was the top and bottom of the engine). The new engine has roughly 50k miles on it.
The front driver side CB boot was replaced at the same time.
[B]The 1st issue/B]
After about a month of getting the car back from the shop, i noticed fluid leaking from the bottom of my car. Upon further inspection, i found a mostly melted bolt (that has fallen out since it was barely on there in the first place).
The bolt was for something on the transmission and is now leaking fluid. I have to refill about once every 2 weeks just to keep the fluid full. When i fill it , i always see a good amount of oil coming out immediatly.
I can't afford a new transmisison (after the new engine). So i'm looking for advice on what i can do to solve this. Is it possible to cover it with oil resistant tape? Could i just order a new bolt? Any advice on this is extremely helpful
The 2nd issue
To keep it short, every time i crank to turn left or right (a full turn), i hear a god awful noise coming from both the right and left side of the front of my car. It will occasionaly make a grinding noise as well.
The steering pump was replaced with the engine, but im not sure if that is the cause.
I'm hesitant on taking it back to the same mechanic. Though i fully believe both issues are caused by work done on the car, i really can't prove it. I'm just looking for a way to make my poor car last a few more years
TL;DR Missing (melted off) bolt on transmission housing, causing a transmission fluid leak(severe)
Squealing noise/grinding when i turn left/right.
What can i do?

For the bolt, if it's just a case bolt you can pull one from the junkyard and pop it back on. If you want, you can take a good picture or two and upload it here.
For the squealing, if the noise came with the pump and engine odds are the pump is indeed bad. You can get these for about $20 at the junkyard as well.
