Default OT: Turn Signal Problems

Hello,
I'm having problems with my 96 Civic hatchback. The turn signal doesn't click back after turning. Anyone have any idea what I should do? Thanks!

Do you have an aftermarket wheel and hub by chance?

Did you buy the car second hand? Is this problem occuring just now, or ever since you bought the car? I bet the previous owner messed around with the steering wheel and probably chopped off the signal cancelor when he bolted on some othe Honda steering wheel on it.

I did purchase the car second hand, as a daily driver. But it worked fine for the last five or six months. Then two nights ago it just stopped clicking back into place. I'd drive for miles with the signal on without knowing it.... I don't want to take it to the dealer. They'll probably charge me an arm and a leg. I was hoping to solve the problem myself somehow...

Is it both left and right signal? Take off your wheel and make sure the cancellor piece is still working/there.

Yeah, I bet the cancellor piece has broken off... probably 'cuz the last owner ghetto super glued it back on.

Do I have to take off the steering wheel or can I access it from the steering column? What does the cancellor piece look like?
