Default H22 Turbo Vtec boundaries

Hi I have a H22 with a T3 turbo running 6lbs of boost it runs great everything is tuned in but I didn't tune it with vtec yet. The car has full new intake, 3in exhaust, 750cc injectors for my 12lb tune. On the 6lb tune though i was wonder what is the upper and lower rpm boundaries I should use for vtec engagement. Or is it even safe to use vtec with a turbo? I just want a general consensus of what rpm range I should set? The car is also sleeved and has eagle rods.

the only way to tell what your Vtec engagement point should be is to tune it.

Or should I just wait till i have it sitting on a dyno and try to find the point. Heard similar people starting at 5k and moving it around from there to find where the best engagment point is

The best way is on the dyno. Like the man said, get it tuned.

it's pretty easy. do a pull with Vtec disabled, then do a pull with Vtec enabled at a low point. wherever the power curves intersect is where you put your engagement point at.
if you don't have access to a dyno you can get pretty close by comparing the low and high cam fuel values, since fuel largely dictates power. that's in my manual, which is in my signature.
