just thought of something....STS related
viscous LSD are allowed in STS right? so I could legally put the viscous LSD outta the JDM B18C1 into my car? does anyone know if honda ever put a viscous LSD into the 92 Civic Si? or if the viscous LSD outta said JDM GSR will fit into a 92 civic Si?
The GCR states "No limited slip differentials are permitted except for factory standard viscous coupler type units."
Since the LSD was not factory standard on the Civic Si, I doubt this would be legal.

Nope. JDM ain't legal.
12.4 Standard Part
An item of standard or optional equipment that could have been ordered with the car, installed on the factory production line, and delivered through a dealer in the United States. Dealer-installed options or deletions, except as required by factory directives, no matter how common or what their origin, are not included in this definition. This definition does not allow the updating or backdating of parts.
Good try, though.

Hahaha owned
I don't get it either. I can understanding not completely knowing the rules, cause admit it the rules can be messed up to a newbie. But for someone who has been autocrossing a couple of events you should know the rules by now and gone over it several times. You can't say to yourself, well it's just a strut bar or it's just an intake and I will never open my hood so no one can see it.
I know others who I've showed them the rule book about 140 treadwear rating (they had Hoosiers in STS) and still argued with me that they were legal.

My experience has been that good drivers have no need to cheat.
Put in your LSD (any type) and come out to a VA area autocross and see if Richard West still kicks your butt, or maybe go head to head with the fast Civics...

Oh you have Richard West down there
I ran against him when I started getting competitive in 2000 with my brand spanking new Civic Si
He owned me by 3 seconds on a 60 second course DOH!
But now I'm about consistently .2 seconds behind Chris Shenefield in his 1989 Civic Si (won Nationals) and I would have been in 3rd place at Nationals
That's just dreaming though. I know Nationals is a different animal

MattG's comments were kinda aimed towards me.....if you want to split hairs technically I'm a cheater because of my ITR radiator in my RS....are you guys gonna turn me in at nationals? I was told an ITR radiator would bump me out of STS
