Default Hondata s300 cutting power.

Hey everyone. I've got a boosted 99 SIR with a built JDM GSR and hondata s300v2. I got it running great, but when I go into boost the ECU cuts power at seemingly random boost levels. I've got no idea what's going on here. My wastegate is set for 19 lbs, sometimes the ECU cuts power at 2 psi, sometimes 7, sometimes 17. Lol. The boost cut psi for warm setting is set to 40 for testing, so that isn't effecting it.

You didn't exactly give enough details to help you. And usually for these problems it is best to post the calibration and datalog so we can see your exact settings and what is going on.

What are your AFRs?
Do you have lean protection enabled?
What MAP sensor are you using?
What are your plugs gapped at?

There are many important details missing. This is why it is best to just post a datalog and the calibration file for these types of problems. This site doesn't have very good support setup for sharing calibrations. I suggest making a thread over at Hondata's Forum.

AFR is rich, hondata 4bar, 8 cold range R NGK plugs (dont remember the part number, theyre in the car) gapped at .30. lean protection is turned off but the protection for temprature is turned on. thats what was limiting me. my engine runs pretty warm (usually 200-220 degree's) and it was set at 212. Thats why sometimes it would be on, sometimes it wouldnt. It only runs this hot when boosted. When it was N/A it wouldnt. IAT's are pretty low usually (i do live in canada) and AFR's are generally on the richer side (between 13.5-14.7). any idea why it runs so hot? ive got my fan switch bypassed so it runs all the time when the car is on, dual core yonaka rad, and its hard to get temps under 200. Ive read that 200-230 is pretty normal for turbo bseries cars?

No, it's not normal for those temps. Are you saying you are 13.5 - 14.7 under boost? You are being pretty vague with information. It sounds like you are either too lean, timing is messed up, or your EMS are incorrect, but too early to jump to conclusions. What ignition are you using - OEM?
