Hey Guys,

Prob #1
My driver side window control will bring down my front passenger window, but will not bring it up. I saw a video online (regarding the power-lock mechanics) and the guy basically re-soldering the contact on the circuit board and it worked again. I am wondering if this would be the same process or if a new switch/circuit board box is needed. I don't have any electrical tools to test the contacts, but on the video the guy pointed at the "cracked" contact.

Prob# 2 My front passenger power-locking machinist doesn't work. I can hear the motor working and can lock/unlock manually & with key. I can't pull out the actual (white/beige) locking mechanism to see whats going on because 1 of 3 screws is stripped. I'm not familiar with this issue so I wasn't sure if I can fix this without removing and putting things back in place. I would think A rod or something wasn't popped back in place, but 30 minutes of studying everything lead me nowhere.

acute possibility with problem one with the video. problem two you will have to pull the door panel and investigate the rods. if you cant get all the latch mechanism bolts off try an impact driver. If that doesn't work you will have to drill it out but before you do all of that try and lubricate it with wd40 or something to try and free it up.

 

Yeah WD40 didn't do the trick, but your right i might have to drill. I figured the rod that pops the lock isn't in place, but I just simply can't see it.

I will give both a try and hopefully can get lucky. Thanks for the input EJ7attack.

 

Update on window:
I tried the method shown in this youtube vid and had no luck. Before I buy a $60 part on Amazon or search through a junkyard, anyone have any suggestions or prior experience of similar probs? Thanks
