1991 civic sedan lx 5spd. just cranks but will not run. no power to ecu and fuel pump. engine check light stays on.
checked main relay it works.
checked all fuses underdash and underhood, all good.
checked #1 pin 12v power has constant juice, good!
checked #2 pin ground at main relay plug, good.
checked #5 pin ignition at main relay plug with key turned to II 12.6v.
jumped battery power 12v to fuel pump wire at the main relay plug fuel pump works.
jumped battery power 12v to #3 pin at main relay plug ecu works.
like this im able to start the car and it runs fine, but if i plug in the main relay it wont run.

I mean, if fuses, pump, harness and ecu are tested okay....the only miss link in your trouble is the main relay

 

well the main relay is from my other 91 civic hb which runs perfect, so im 99% sure its in operating correctly but when i get home i will go thru and check the main relay.
