Default d15z1 vs. d15z6

hey guys! been a little while. Quick question, though. I looked around for a little on this one, but couldn't really find anything helpful. I've got a friend that needs a new engine block. Currently, he's got the d15z1, and I'm wondering if a z6 block would bolt up? I've been told that everything should line up. only thing being changed is the block itself. Really just curious to see if anyone has tried this and if they had any sort of difficulties in the process.

Thanks guys!

It should all bolt up. Make sure you have the right ecu. Double check everything. Good luck.

It should bolt on fine. They do take different ECUs. D15Z1s are OBD1 the D15Z6s are OBD-II so there will be a few harness issues, such as the ECU, injector, alt, and dizzy connections.
Unless by chance you meant D16Z6 which will just need a little modification for the O2 sensor and a p28 ECU.
