Default something hissing after car is shut off (video)

im not sure if this is normal but when i turn my car off it sounds like a air leak coming from my brake booster area I'm not sure actually maby power steering but it could be making that noise while the engine is running too i wouldn't be able to hear it

it makes the noise for about 5 seconds after the car is off and then stops heres the link to the video.. might have to turn your volume up a little

I had this leak a minute ago. Check the hose clamps on the lines to and from the booster to manifold. I tighten them all a bit and all gone. No more leak for me

could you be a little more specific with the pic as to where the leak is coming from. in your pic it looks like a massive crack below the MC.
If that is teh case i think you will need a new brake booster. or did you find the leak coming from right behind the MC where it bolts up to the brake booster?
if so then i would say it is not sealed properly. but the details area little vague.

please be a lil more clear. and specific

um, the master isnt sealed to the booster, thats a dust seal, the rubber piston seals in the booster are sealed inside, when you push on the brake, you push on the rod in the booster, which pushes another rod, that operates the master, if the booster failed, you will still brakes, the pushrod in the booster acts directly on the master pushrod

it's air possibly leaking in, there is no pressure in the booster, if the diaphragm is bad, air will try to make it's way back into the booster diaphragm, if you pull the master cylinder and see fluid where the rear seal on it is, then it's probably leaked into the booster, and ruined it.

what does that have to do with the booster? the booster is in bad enough shape to be cracking, the diaphrams inside of it are probably shot also

Replace the booster or eliminate it.
