93 civic hb cx - Orientation of wheel bearing does it matter?
I Bought a new OEM NTN Honda wheel bearing and in the process of pressing the bearing into the front knuckle of a 93 civic hb cx. The wheel bearing that I removed from the knuckle looks identical in nature on both sides of the bearing.
The new wheel bearing I received has black plastic on one side of the bearing between the races, and the other side is majority all metal. Which side of the bearing should be facing which direction? Does it matter? Any input would be appreciated.

No, orientation does not matter. They are not unidirectional bearings. They should only fit one way as well, so that makes it easy to figure out
The problem with that statement is that they can go on either way.Everything else is correct, it doesn't matter which side goes where.
Usually the only ones that matter are the type that come on Acura TLs which have a little magnet attached to them when you buy it. The magnet is there to indicate which side of the bearing has the trigger wheel for the ABS sensor.

Metal side goes out. It really doesn't make a whole lot of difference, but the metal dust shield is more resistant to the elements.
So you would face the metal side towards the lugnuts?
