Default B16a2 - compression and timing belt questions

What should the compression on a b16a2 be if it's running "optimal" at that amount of miles?...I don't know the exact miles because I bought the car with the swap already in it, but I remember the guy saying it was almost 80k on the motor and I'm sitting at 200+ on the body....with that I'm pretty positive that I need to do some routine maintenance such as timing belt, water pump etc. Any place in particular you all recommend ordering from? Or any other type of maintenance that should be done to keep the ole ticker running?

I appreciate the info

210-220+ in each cyl max variance of 25psi, 180 is the line of ok-ish and time to hone/bore/re-ring etc. Go to the dealership for your timing belt wp etc don't cheap out.

Timing belt and water pump stuff is best at a dealership. You can find dealerships that discount their parts online like majestic honda (bernardiparts.com) or delray honda/acura.

Timing belt
Water pump
Tensioner and spring
Front cam/crank seals
Rear cam seal
Valve cover gasket set
Coolant

Figure about $200-225 ish for genuine Honda parts at one of the above listed sites. That includes 2 gals of Honda coolant and shipping.

Cheaper alternatives are available. You can buy a Gates kit from rockauto for like $85. Nothing *wrong* with it. The dealer parts are just better. And you can get prestone coolant from a parts store. BUY GENUINE SEALS AND GASKETS THOUGH. The aftermarket ones are hit or miss. Total should come out around $125-150 with the gaskets and coolant.

You can get NGK copper plugs for $2/ea and change them every 30k....or buy the NGK/Denso platinum for $7/ea and change them every 100k. No performance difference. Sparkplugs.com or rockauto.com is a good place for that. Or a parts store for the copper ones.

Some people do distributor caps and rotors. Buy them from Honda.

The compression on my 155k mile B16 was 210 with 0 variance after it had gotten hotter than Chernobyl at the race track due to a dead radiator and me not noticing the temp gauge, had been driven at 4k-7k (70-130mph cruise speed) RPM for the entire highway stretch to class 5 times a week. And had generally been driven by me...which means lots of revs, downshifts, and flooring it. But very good maintenance (conventional oil changes every 5-6k miles and adding oil as needed).
