89 CRX 1.5. changed rotor cap, rotor and plug wire. after that it seemed to run smooth, around the block. The next day, leaving for work and about 5-10 miles down the freeway my Check engine light came on. got back home and turned ignition off then on. the ECU started blinking and after, about 60 blinks i turned it off and went to work. what could it be? thanks.

Just one 02 sensor on our cars, its one wire, white, and is easily accessible as it is right on the top of the header. You could make sure it is plugged into its connector well by unhooking the two connectors and reconnecting 2 or 3 times. Then pull your ground cable, wait 30 seconds, re-install. If it comes back on you have a bad 02 sensor.

 

thx, will try. Ground cable? the one on the valve cover? if so, i noticed that wire looked old and tired! i loosened it ti straighten it out. i"ll replace it any ways. thanks again.

no, after the first drive it never came back! figured it was broke so i drove the hell out of it to see what happens. the only thing i did was mess with the distributor and wires. Moved the Ground wire around on the valve cover. probably blew some thing through there!? hope you find the problem. thx.
