02 sensor. Popped up a couple days ago. Heres what I know:

There was a pisspoor wiring attempt to tee a wire off the white/black wire on the ECU for an Air/Fuel gauge. I've replaced the wire in hopes that that was the issue but it did nothing. and the light's still on.

I hear it's rare for the O2 sensor itself to actually fail, so what else should I be checking?

it is in no way rare for an o2 sensor to fail

first, check continuity over that wire all the way from the sensor to the ecu, if continuity is good, then try a new sensor, if not, check that wire better

 

I had a bad o2 sensor, I dont think its that rare either.

 

Like I said, just what I heard.

I'll check the wire all the way from the harness to the sensor and get back with ya.

 

did you reset the ECU after you fixed this wire ? If not, reset before you replace.
