diagnosing oil
so this current motor has been getting tons of blow by, pretty sure its the rings, but dont really have any intentions of fixing. motor is old and im waiting for the block to give out 1 day *shoot a piston is mine + friends guess lol*
but uuhhh, everytime iv changed the oil the last year, it smelled heavily like fuel. which would imply blow by and rings. and the oil itself after 500-1k miles is very thin and dark black. reason it gets changed daily before i spin a bearing.
but my question is, Why Would Air Bubbles Be In The Oil? would it be from the fuel mixing with oil? or could it be the start of coolant aka head gasket.
motor does not overheat, hasnt really been driven all winter due to snow, and im just curious what air bubbles imply. when u dump the oil on ur hand it sparkles like metal shavings, but its just air bubbles. and when pouring into a clear container, only the very top ever so slightly has air bubbles.
^ just curious as to what air bubbles imply.

Likely the contamination degrading your oil.
Do the bubbles look foamy? That's from too much oil and the crank whipping it.
Do the bubbles hang around after the car has sat overnight?
How is your PCV doing?

hmmm.. what pcv lol. its the b18a1 motor which has the black box on the back. and basically the manifold has a hose to the valve, and the valve has a hose to the black box.
and since i broke the **** for the hose that connects the black box to the bottum of pcv, i just left it open. so the intake manifold is capped off but the black box is like half sealed from where the plastic broke, releasing polution into my engine bay
anywayz. i do not want oil and gasy fumes going back into the manifold.. its so pretty and clean atm. tossed a filter on the valve cover also instead of running a hose to the intake tubing

as for the oil. iv only noticed it the last few times iv changed the oil. granted it is most likely the oil breaking down from the fuel and lack of lubrication, but i will post a pict in a few mins. basically fillted up a ice tea half gallon and the bubbles were small/bunched at the top hugging the corners
