Default why wont my brakes work!

ok so I went to get my 97 civic inspected and they told me that I had a caliper leak. so I messed around with my brakes and took the brake pistion out and put it back in and then my brakes were really spongy so I bleed my two front brake lines and now my brakes don't work at all any ideas on how I can fix it?

You just decided to take the piston out and reinstall it, without replacing the seals? There ya go, you messed up the seals on that caliper. You also introduced a SHITLOAD of air into the system. You need to properly overhaul or replace that caliper, then bleed the everliving **** out of your brake system. Buy/borrow/rent a pressure bleeder, or you're going to be bleeding the system all day.

When I go to bleed my lines no air comes out so what does that mean?

You could pump the pedal a couple times and only bleed out fluid, and there could still be air in the line closer to the master cylinder, lol I said caliper the first time.

you could get a new remanufactured caliper and be done with it. P.s. When it leaks, and you take it apart and just put it back together without doing anything, it wont fix the leak.

It means the brake system is extremely critical, extremely complicated, and it's extremely important that you know exactly what you're doing before you start fiddling with it.

What it means in your case, though, is that you should properly replace that caliper with a new or reman'd unit, then pressure bleed the system. Period.
