Fuel cap problems
A few weeks ago I left my OEM gas cap at the gas station. Long story short gas cap is gone even though the gas station said they would put it aside.
I picked up a Stant 10834 from Amazon and figured it's just a gas cap what could go wrong? During the last 2 fillups I'm noticing that I really have to put some muscle into removing the cap. The thread fits fine but breaking the seal is a real pain. Once the seal is broken I hear it bit of gas esacpe which I believe is normal. If I look at the seal there appears to be some moisture on it which I can only assume is gas. I didn't sniff it but I'll do that next time.
Any ideas why this is happening? My OEM wasn't an issue at all.
Oh, car is a 99 EXv6
Thanks
