I came across an issue while I was on lunch at work today.

If I hold my RPM's steady between 1000-1500, the RPM will slowly drop to 900 and stay there as the gas peddle is slightly pressed. When I release the gas peddle, the car nearly stalls. I'm thinking it might be a IACV, or vacuum issue.. but I thought i'd bounce the idea off of you guys. The confusing thing about it is that it does not do this if I hold the throttle at 1,500 or higher.

Additional info: Car is stock, i've recently done a tune up of which included NGK Wires & plugs, OEM Rotor & Cap. The only thing left I need to change out is the fuel filter of which I will be doing this weekend. No CEL's, and the CEL works. Car runs great, too.

I did a quick inspection for any loose vacuum lines but I failed to locate anything loose. I will inspect it further after work.

What are your thoughts?

 

Try cleaning the IACV.

I cleaned out the IACV last night, and it corrected the issue.
