Car won't start after radio istall
So i installed a new stereo myself.... and it works!!!! but my car wont start. it turns. everything works (well kinda), but the car doesnt start. i checked fuses and all are good but i will recheck them when its light outside
it just sounds like its going to start and does that forever! but radio works
i have a full tank of gas too
when i switch back to the old stereo it does the same thing
-----------------
one thing that could have caused it is i cut the wires while it was all plugged in and i saw a small spark coming from one of the larger black, yellow, red or one of those wires. im not sure if it started then or not. but i know that i replaced fuses afterwards. also my radio is a 15A fuse and i put in a 20A fuse cause i didnt have any other ones....
when i took the radio one out, it still doesnt start. i dont know what to do

I believe when doing any electrical work it is recommended to disconnect the battery to avoid sticky situations like this. I would go over all your fuses again just to be sure they are ok. I would make sure the radio was grounded properly as well.
For sure check your fuses again and if you have a car alarm make sure you didn't cut any of those wires. If you wiggled any alarm wires out you will get power to everything but the car won't start.
Just throwing ideas out.

does the car have some fuel shut off thing for if i mess with it? or how to reset it... i dont even know where it would be located after all these searches

ugh, im so stupid!
hopefully my friend can figure it out. At first it was the ignition coil fuse that went out. the ignition one is a larger one and from looking through the clear top, it looks fine, but i havent unscrewed anything to check.
you need to do a continuity test on fuses you suspect of being bad.... I have had a few blow and LOOK ok but were actually shot. Little less common but still possible
When I was checking fuses the night I asked this, I had take one out and put it in the wrong spot. Apparently I had pulled the fuel pump fuse under the hood.
Now my new problem is getting it to turn off when I take the key out and on when I put the key in. Much simpler I hope.... But that was an expensive radio install!!!!
Well crap. I hate to say this but not really. Car works!!!!!!!

update: Got everything working! He said i was getting residual power or something like that. Basically the power from stock radio was still going through to the new head unit which made it stay on for a little longer period and would power off eventually.
He cut wires that i didnt need and rewired everything works as it should.
