Default Back Up Lights not working

About 2 weeks back my reverse lights stopped working, I checked the bulbs, fuse(s), and switch. ended up replaceing all. and they still dont work. I get power to the switch, from the switch, to the under dash panel. voltage gets to everything, the ground for the back up lights is good too. What could it be? 1999 Honda Civic EJ6 Hatchback. 5 Speed Manual. D16Y7.

Do you get voltage to the socket itself? You didn't mention that.

Was anything done to the car when you lost your reverse lights? Did you resistance test either the old or new fuse?

I think they may be grounded out, checked got no voltage. but voltage gets to the under dash panel, and there is continuity from the fuse socket to the lamp socket, but no voltage from fuse sockett to lamp.

All tech threads require car information. Edit your first post to include this key information.

It's time for you to run that wire with your hands and eyes, and find the cut. It's broken somewhere.

Thought so, should i go right from the box back and through that entire back up light circuit? I would assume that would be best.

I would start at the socket and work your way forward in the harness.

^These two test results are contradictory.

Install fuse 19, turn key to ON(II), and then measure voltage to body ground at both test tabs. Click the Test Fuses link in my signature. Do you measure battery voltage at both tabs?

I don't know much about the 99, but on my 95, I had the same issue and it was the switch, called the back up switch at autozone which was the whole wire loom from the transmission to where it plugs to the harness. It was 20 bucks.

Both tabs have power when I tested.
