Are the '98 EX's supposed to have back illumination for the temp slide, and fan selector switch? I have to turn on my dome light in the dark to adjust between cold/heat temps and fan speed.

 

bulbs are probably burnt or you're not getting any power to them or its not receiving a signal from your switch.

 

Do the cluster back lights and parking lights work?

 

Yes, cluster and all other lights work, just no lighting behind the temp slide and fan switch. Since I bought the car they haven't worked, so I assumed there was no back lighting in that location. Anyone of you know off the top of your head what bulb size it would be? If not I'll just pull it out and get the number off the bulb(s).

 

Before replacing the bulbs, you could check voltage at Red/Blk wire and ground at the Red wire in the climate control connector.
