Default Coming from Preludezone

I was previously on preludezone.com but people thought I was spamming so I just joined hondatech. I'm not a spammer, I have genuine questions, I'm going to copy and paste the threads from preludezone...

Apparently "twokexlv6coupe" and some other people think I am posting spam but that is not the case I don't have a whol lot of knowledge on cars and I was coming to this site for some help and advice I have a 1999 Honda Prelude 5 speed. I learned the radiator was blown and thought that was it then I found out the head gasket was blown too. I was going to fix it but was told by someone who is very experienced with Hondas that there is no effective way to fix it and I should do an engine swap, I've got a friend that can help me with then engine swap but he doesn't have his shop anymore so I'm looking for one otherwise I'm going to have to pay a shop to do it and I'd rather do it with a friend so I can learn about my car. I want to boost it because I'm in to racing I'm going to buy a beater as a daily driver and work on the prelude. The crew I hang out with despises Hondas and always talks **** so I want to shut them up as well as beat the leader who is working on his Chrysler Conquest TSI. iF YOU CAN HELP ME OUT i'D BE VERY APPERCIATIVE. I'm not spamming I live in Indaiapolis I'll be 18 in April. Real coments would be nice rather than insults. Everywhere I go I'm the outcast for driving a Honda so I thought maybe I could talk with some honda guys, which is why I came to this site, which I'm not familiar with.

Welcome.

As I said in your other thread, do a bunch of reading, do research, and learn what you can by that. Then once you get stuck and have more specific questions, we will be able to help you out.

If you have a "crew" that doesn't like Hondas, either find a new group to deal with that likes Hondas, or get in good with a local shop that can help. Either way, plan wisely and research, don't just buy the first part someone suggests and toss it on hoping to be fast.

Oh and boost is going to be very expensive to do right, there is a great FAQ thread on heavily modifying a Prelude, you might want to start there.

Welcome! --

If its just a bad radiator and head gasket you can swap those out easier then a whole engine. Radiators are dime a dozen, and head gaskets are relatively cheap as far as parts go.

Haters guna hate.. They only hate on Hondas because they are good cars, if they werent people would over look them liek so many other cars out there. Look on facebook, thats how I found my NW prelude club. Cant wait to start attending meets when my car is finished!

PS Prelude-Zone SUCKS!... I was on there a short period of time, the people seemed like d-bags. Not saying there isnt cool knowledgeable people there, just none I seen wile I was there.
