Hello everyone.
I have recently installed a 2 core aluminum radiator along with 6 high temp hoses on my b16.
Now when at idle it warms up to a little under half and blows out hot air.
But 5 minutes into driving the temperture on gauge drops to C mark and blows out warm air.
Vtec still engages when the gauge drops back down to C.
after driving for a while I let the car idle and temp on gauge started to increase again back up to about half.

oem radiator never had this problem. started only after i put in new radiator.
I also live in montreal could it be the COLD wind hitting the aluminum radiator when driving

 

Its the thermostat. replace it. its stuck open. just changed mine, had the same problem.
