I have an 02 si 2.0 no fourth or 5th gear doesn't make any noise ,when parked 4 and 5th are just like neutral? wondering if it could be something other then internal parts as it just happened .driving home .went to shift fourth ,nothing there.
any help would be appreciated.

 

Internal parts, when was the last time it worked? Sounds like a shift piece broke.

 

it was working fine this morning ,got in it driving home from work and nothing there after 3rd.no noises nothing feels like it goes into both 4th and 5th but doesn't do anything.

 

Interesting to have those gears (and only those gears) do so given they are on different shift pieces.
