Default Throttle response - 99 SI

Sup guys,
Have a quick question, see if anyone can help me out. So this week I got the head on my 99 si port and polished w a couple valves replaced. And since I've been driving it the car has really bad throttle response. Example I floor it a bit and doesn't gain any speed at all like it used. I really bogs out bad. I checked the throttle cable and seems good, Idk if they just didn't do the timing again or what's going on. Can anyone pls help or have any ideas what it could be??? Thank U

Floor it a bit??? Anyways, you need to take it back to the shop who did the work and demand they fix the car right like they should have the first time.

if they didn't tune it I guarantee that's the problem. otherwise the timing is probably off a tooth or you may have a failing distributor/coil.

By removing the head, timing is undone. It is not timed mechanically correct. If nothing else was touched, don't avoid it. Precise timing is everything.
