Default gsr internals into ys1 case??

I'm picking up a crx so I'm gona be switching my 94 gsr internals into a ys1 caseing. Now I'm wondering do I use it'd. Diff bearings and shims or the ls bearings with thicker shims. Any info will be great as this will be happening soon

Use the bearings and shims to match the type of diff you are installing. If you are putting the Hydro GSR diff in the YS1 you will use GSR bearings and shims but you will also need to grind the bell case to make room for the larger GSR diff. If you install a MFactory helical LSD you probably will not need to grind the case.

You will need the YS1 outer bearings from the countershaft swapped onto the GSR parts.

YS1 uses smaller (D series) bearings on the countershaft.

YS1 uses the same C/S bearings as the hydro trans. It is the S1 that has different bearings.

Do u mean grind the fins down? And so the obd1 2 piece bearings will fit in the ys1 case? I didn't think they did

Yes, with the OEM B18C diff you will need to grind the fins to make room.

It will be much easier to convert to ball bearings with shims. See link below:
