Default 89 hatch headlight short

I have a 89 civic hatchback si . I have had the car for almost 8 months and when I bought it only the last headlight switch worked. there's 3 when you turn it but only the last one worked. yesterday on the way to work my headlights shut off. all my dash lights, taillights work except for my headlights. Idk what's wrong with it and I work 3rd shift. thanks guys

Seems the contact in the stalk is known to go bad. I just googled "EF headlight issues" and I think it was the 3rd link under HondaTech. Try taking the plastic off around the steering wheel and get into the stalk area. Maybe you can clean the leads/bend them to make contact. I'd unhook the negative terminal on the battery just to avoid any injury/issues. May need to remove the steering wheel. Need an extension and a 19mm iirc.

Awesome. I don't want to be mean, but I honestly just use google to answer the questions on this board. Then I take that knowledge and try and remember it later on down the line. My personal Honda experience is VERY limited.
