Default And so it begins..."Project Tips" build

What up HT. So you may have seen me asking before for help and I will definitely need help with this one... So I FINALLY get to start working on my '91 CRX DX (the way I want). So let's get a quick run down. I bought the car for me as a birthday gift, and brought it to Cali to see it sadly fail smog test. After spending about $300 dollars into trying to get it to pass smog I thought the engine's got almost 300K on it, time for a new one. Well between then and now I moved back to NV and my car is stuck out there.... Until Friday.

The build is being called "Project Tips" due to my job, I'm a delivery driver. The better portion of this build is being paid for by tips. So before anything else mad props and much thank you's to all the people who unknowingly will and have helped me with this build.

First update of the build, got my hands on a B16A (first gen). Paid today!!! SO EXCITED!!!! It's on the way. Car is on the way, and pictures of it all are on the way. Ha ha. Wish me luck.

A great motor for the CRX. It's very fun. The B16A (SiR I) I have is a blast in my hatch. You'll enjoy it for sure.

By the way, pics make a build thread.

I hope you make good tips because I really don't want to see another CRX ruined by eBay $5 parts.

Random question has anybody ever built a clone? Was thinking about it earlier and am pretty sure that if I did it would be a short term thing... Any opinions?

As promised pictures of the car. Its in rough shape but with a little love she will beautiful. The good (if any ha ha), the bad and the ugly. I hate picking up other people's projects, radio doesn't work unless you flip the switch behind the center console, the fog lights are non functioning ha ha way to go on the wiring bud ha ha. Oh well all in good time I guess ha ha.

Thanks for the motivation. Still moving stuff so that I can get both the car and the engine in the garage ha ha. The engine is Atlanta super excited to get that news today. I'm sure when I get into teardown I'll find out I paid too much for it, and that's with out the "flat black" paint job. I wouldn't mind it with a decent flat black paint job. Still trying to figure out what shade of green for the engine bay.

It's got an AEM cold air intake

Not that bad. Wiring is easy. Good luck with it. Painting shouldn't be an issue. Just a lot of sanding.
