Yeah, in Cali you gotta smog your car every 2 years. Well, at least the olders cars you have to. I don't know about the newer cars. So it's quite a hassle for us Californians to do any real motorwork since we have to find a way to pass smog every 2 years.

up here in Mendocino County, CA you only have to smog your car once at time of purchase! This is why I love this county!

thats weird... i just got mines smogged...dont ask how, but i got it to pass... that sucks. its prolly not that many vehicles up at mendocino county, thats why its only once. sucks for the rest of us

I thought it was state law to get the cars smogged every 2 years. also, all cars need to be smogged at time of purchase unless the buyer signs a waiver saying they will smog the car. cool if that's how it works out for you though...

im in socal. only had to get my car smogged once. that was when i bought it. The law doesnt count for all of cali only certain counties.
