Ok so i ended up getting myself a 96 civic hatchback dx and I noticed that the cluster doesnt have a tachometer. I dont really need a tachometer but I would like to have one. Can I swap in any cluster from a 96-00 civic??

 

Yes! They are all interchangeable with each other.

Here's your options man
*note* only USDM blue ring clusters light up in white, JDM/CDM blue ring clusters light up in amber. So if you try to get a blue ring with a tachometer and want to transfer over your speedometer to retain your odometer reading you will need to change the bulbs as well.

Another option, if you get a cluster thats in kilo, open the cluster and set your odometer to what your stock one is. Picked up a acura el cluster. Opened it up and converted my miles to kilometers, and now its right.

 

Just did my cluster swap yesterday. Em1 into a eg hatch.

Just drop in your speedometer into the LX cluster so you retain your proper mileage
