Default Honda V6 piston rings

What do all of you Honda dealer technicians think about only geting 7.0 hours to replace four of the six piston rings? It pays 9.0 hours to replace head gaskets.

it's a joke, and when none of the rings I've seen are lined up like Honda claims.
they are still clocked close to the normal positon. Most need short blocks due to cylinder wall damage and the valve seats are pitted badly too.

What I am mad about is the time paid, when ever Honda has a warenty extension they steal money from the Honda techs. My self and he other two main Honda techs at our dealer have refused to do any more for 7.0 hours. They can have the guys over in express do them. They seem to have no problem doing timing belts.

That's wrong!! That would **** me off if all I get is diag and warranty work while gravy goes to un qualified people.

My brother works for Audi and they get 20hrs to replace pistons and wrist pins on 4cyl engines that they have problems with burning oil

I see dealerships have not changed. This is why I got out of this business seven years ago.

Wow, 7 hours??? That's crap! **** like this is why my wife went from a Suby Tech to a Suby Parts tech. She makes more behind the scenes in internet parts sales than she did turning wrenches as a tech because of crap like this.
