Default p28 injector drivers smoking

Hey HT, i have a p28 5speed obd-1 ecu that was previously chipped and socketed. I cut the j1 jumper to revert back to stock like i read in some other threads, but after doing so, the injector drivers started smoking after about 30 seconds. i shut the car off so i wouldnt fry the drivers. the vehicle is a 1994 civic ex model. motor is a d16z6. Previous motor was a built lsv setup, but he put stock motor back in

My questions are,

1. should i get a new ecu as this one is possibly damaged or get new injectors?

2 is there something else i should check out before i swap anything out

3 should i continue to remove chips and capacitors?

not sure if the current injectors are saturated or peak and hold. i know peak and hold you would need a resistor box and can damage the ecu if you dont run one.

car ran fine with the ecu chipped but was just super rich so i want it back to stock. last owner had a built lsv motor with 310cc injectors

Hope i provided enough information. thanks in advance guys

You already answered your own questions. Most likely you have the wrong injectors installed. Measure the resistance and report back.

Doesnt make sense how there was no smoke prior to cutting the j1 jumper.

UPDATE: buddy of mine took chip, socket, and resistors out and injector drivers still smoke. going to check resistance in the morning

UPDATE: didnt want to wait til morning and not be able to sleep. now i definatly wont sleep cuz ill be wondering wth to do but injector 1 read 12.0 ohms injector 2 read 11.9 ohms injector 3 read 12.1 ohms and injector 4 read 12.2 ohms.

so from my knowledge i have the correct injectors. saturated injector run anywhere between 10-15 ohms while peak & hold run in the 1-4 ohms range. thinking i may need a new virgin p28 ecu.

also noticed that the alternator plug was changed from the green round plug to the square canadian plug. would that make a difference or even matter?

UPDATE: was going through the harness today and found that the wires on top of the Oxygen sensor are frayed and in bad shape so i swapped out with an old one i had laying around. ECU doesnt smoke but now im getting a code 41 which is primary oxygen sensor. im getting a denso sensor later since everyone says bosch dont last long.

also, would having the j12 resistor cut in the ecu affect anything?
