Hey all! I have a '94 Del Sol, originally with a B16, which I dropped a B18A1 ('93) into. The motor came with mounts for accessories and the alternator, power steering, etc. all fit, but the bolt pattern for the A/C compressor is different. Can someone point me in the right direction for getting my compressor bolted on?

This is the bracket I'm referring to:

 

If your del sol is original b16 just swap the a/c bracket.

If is d series and d compressor you need the 93-97 sol VTEC or CRV a/c bracket.

 

Unfortunately I don't have the B16 that was originally in it. It's the right compressor for a B16 though.

If I buy an OBD1 B16A3 A/C bracket, will it definitely bolt onto my B18A1 block?

 

Yes if it is from a sol, If this is the original sol A/C compressor you need the bracket to bolt in the b series block but with D series compressor pattern.

93-97 VTEC sol
97-01 CRV

Both use b series engine with D series A/C compressors.

Some have pulleys and some don't.

EDIT: Some quick Google-fu suggests that there are a ton of different brackets that should fit on a B18, but I need to get the original bracket which would've been P30, as there are a few different compressor bolt patterns too.

 

The black one is what you need.But first contact the seller, there's a little mistake in the add. If it fit 92-00 civics with b series using the oem compressor it will not fit integras. Also you need the adjuster Assy.

The second one is JDM and specify to be used on b engines with b compressor.

 

The original sol vtec is:

38930-P30-000 BRACKET, COMPRESSOR

 

No.....The p54 mount is the correct mount for b engine/d compressor or the crv mount

P30 was b/b like the p72

 

forcfedcivic, You know the 3 of them carry the same First five numbers and the three last ones the only different are the middle ones but are the same.

p30 = sol vtec 96-97

So if my 'Sol is a '94, the P30 is the only of those 3 that won't work?

 

If you want to go with the one for the year of your car:

38930-P54-000

 

'99 - '00 Si is definitely stamped P30, but uses a regular B-series compressor, if '96 - '97 Del Sol is the same you'll need a '94 - '95 Del Sol Vtec bracket or '97 - '01 CR-V.

 

The P30 is for b motor b compressor.....it will not work on b with the d compressor
The P30 is from 99 si.....which uses a b series compressor
The ONLY mounts that will mount to a b series motor AND use the d series a/c compressors are the p54 and the crv p7j.
