M2B4 transmission not going in gear
ok guys im at wits end here, maybe some of yall can give me some insight into this matter. my brother has a H22A swapped 94 civic coupe. M2B4 Trans....when the car is OFF he can put it in all the gears no problem. when the car is running he cannont get it out of neutral. here is the list of what all we have changed:
Brand new slave cylinder
Brand new Clutch Master Cylinder
Brand new hydraulic feed line from trans to slave cylinder
we have bled the new clutch master cylinder at the feed line
we have bled the slave cylinder using surgical tubing feeding the excess back into the resevoir
also, when we changed the clutch master, i used brake parts cleaner to flush out the resevoir. there is no air or trash in the system
we have adjusted the clutch pedal to allow for the most travel with the slave cylinder swing arm
will STILL not go into gear.....im starting to think its a pressure plate issue?
what do you guys think???

you didn't use brake cleaner to clean the reservoir when it was hooked up did you?
If you got brake cleaner in the system, it could eat up the rubber seals.

of course i didn't use brake cleaner on the resevoir while it was on the car....lmao im not an idiot....no we did not bench bleed the master....but i bled it from the hard line that threads into the master...
I am sure you won't like this idea, but I would pull the tranny and check the clutch operation, since the tranny seems fine while not running. The clutch may not be releasing, either due to a bearing issue, or alignment issue.
I have also had the little pivot stud inside the tranny break off, so that the arm did not pivot correctly.
