B18c jdm type r ??
So I bought a 2000 civic si with a b18c I check the block and it's stamped p72 the head is pr3 and I can't tell by the intake manifold cause it's after market and the headers as well are after market please help I bought the car for 3700 I hope I didn't get ripped off!!!!
You are going to have to take apart something to know for sure. Remove the oil pan and inspect the crankshaft for the Type R markings and remove the intake manifold to look at the runners and valves. Take the cam cap off to identify the camshafts as well. Maybe even look down into the cylinder with a bore scope to inspect the pistons and see if you can see any identifiable markings.
Other than that - I am not sure why you think this should be posted in this section. This is the Engine Management and EMS Tuning section.

96-97 JDM ITR's basically use a GSR block (P72) and a B16 head (PR3).
But with better pistons, valve train and headwork. A B16 and ITR head are the same exact casting, but the ITR has better valves and valve train, better cams, and a port and polish.

Do as suggested above to confirm.

and if i remember the jdm itr was made in 95 and we got it in 96 in us
jdm/ukdm models are always one year before we get them (most of the time)
theres usually green paint next to distributor housing on the head itself
and dual valvesprings
post a picture of engine bay if you can also

Very narrow minded you are. OP came in here asking if he got ripped off. I would assume that the seller was shady or gave him some inclination to think he was scammed to make this thread. This type of stuff happens a lot. People pull the high dollar parts and put in cheap/common parts in their place. Then sell the parts for a profit and claim what they are selling is legit. It is a very basic concept really and happens more than you think with all kinds of cars.
