Default Oil level issues

Ey guys im having a slight issue. Last week my dip stick showed i had zero oil. Not a drop on the stick! And that was after my car was sitting for two hours. I needed to change my oil pan gasket anyway so i droped my oil pan and there was atleast 2-3quarts in the pan. Left me a little conffused. Anyway i changed the gasket and oil filter and out in 4 1/2 quarts of oil in the car. Its been 4 days i decided to check my dip stick and there is just a little on the stick right below the first circle. Im so confused i know im not leaking 4 1/2 quarts of oil.

Engine : B18C5

My friend, the stick does not go to the bottom of the pan. The bottom of the stick usually indicates ABOUT 2 quarts low.
