Icon2 could wheel alignment have dammaged the slip ring gyro connector part in the stearing

I had a new power stearing rack installed.and after the wheals were aligned, the srs light was on. Later I discovered the horn did not funtion. As well as the Cruse control controlers on the stearing wheel did not respond. Could it be dammaged by the work. Or mabey the worker forgot to re connect it. I dont know. Is there anyone here who can help me figure it out? I need to use my horn. Thank you.

So your horn/cc has stopped working check the fuses then the horn relay, 2nd inspect the connector at the horn is it dry rotted/corroded. Not too likely that would warrant the removal of the wheel at least when I replaced my integra one I was able to leave it on.

It seems by the post that these stopped working after having the rack installed and an alignment done.

What are the common themes that would tie these together?

I don't know what all is involved for a steering rack so not sure what wires could be clipped or trashed in the process. I'd assume it would be engine bay side harness, but maybe something has to be done with the steering column?

I don't think it's the typical dry rot age gig being it coincides with work being done on the car.

Nothing directly that's the thing it's all done under the car save from taking the steering colum cover off a the base where it connects to the rack.
that's why I'm wondering mine was just as easy as this video shows. The steering wheel never comes off/get touched. (can't embed the video)

it is definitely a broken clock spring, the horn/cruse control/ airbag wiring all run through it, when it breaks then it also cuts the electrical signal to those 3 components.

reason the clock spring broke in the first place was because either the steering column or rack were not centered when the rack was changed and when they went to align the car they turned the wheels each way fully and overextended the spring causing it to snap. its a pretty fragile part
