How much oil in the catch can
Hi guys just wondering how much oil do u guys normally accumulate in your catch can each pass or a few pass down the track? My can gets about 2-3 quarts after 3 passes.
I don't have a drain back ether but I could do 20 1/8th mile passes and my catch can wouldn't be even close to half full. Half full after 3 passes sound like a lot is it more oil then water or more water then oil
Im currently only venting from the front of the valve cover but After 15-20 passes it mainly had water in it from running ethanol and maybe couple ounces of oil mixed in.

I have a block fitting with no black box to the top of the catch can, a barbed fitting(not baffled) and the stock port drilled out bigger going into the top of the catch can.
my first catch can I removed after 10k miles 50+ passes had about 10oz(catch can was a 20oz stainless bottle.
my second setup is nrg can with bigger ports and a hole drilled into the top and a large v8 mr gasket valvecover breather added. I emptied it after about 5k miles and a autoX, countless hwy pulls, 4-5 dyno pulls, 10 1/4 passes, and lots of burnouts and general hooning....it had very little maybe a 1/2-1" on the bottom of the 10" tall catch can...looked like some nasty milky oily goo
im running leaded 110

yeah the two off the rear will allow a **** load of oil to empty into the can. ALSO just off the valve cover its not really breathing the crankcase much. I will be addint a -16 to the front of my oil pan to a small can mounted where power steering bottle would normally go. Thats best way to vent the crankcase OR you can put it up to the valve cover and the outlets on the vc will then vent the crankcase.
