f22 build up
what does it take to build an f22 for boost. I know it has iron sleeves so does it need resleeving, can i get away with a cylinder brace. I know u need rods and pistons. I want run about 15psi. darton makes sleeves for it and crower makes rods and many others make pistons. i really need to knew about resleeving or cylinder braces.
well....the motor you are currently using is actually already good to go for boost...with compression as low as 8.8:1, you really do not need different pistons...crower is a good choice for rods though, and if your pistons are badly scored, dinged up, or in bad shape all together, go to honda and get a new set of stock pistons for yo ***...but i wouldn't recomend spending over $1500 just to get pistons and the block resleeved which will only marginally lower in compression than your stock setup...(you might be able to get a thicker head gasget to do just about the same thing as the low compression pistons)...anyways, you can use that $1500 to build up the head a little bit for that turbo...basically just replace anything that is worn in the engine which won't hold under boost...your tranny will be something to watch out for as well...good luck
what about valvetrain components? who makes them for the f22b1? i know of only gude to make cams, but i don't know who makes valves and springs and all that goodness so i can get into the high rpms.
how much boost do you think the stock bottom end could safely hold before it goes?

do not push more than 10 psi on stock internals....the rest will mainly have to be custom done...check local machine shops or sites online to see who will do custom work for you...and make sure they are reputable and know that a turbo profile is a lot different than an NA profile when machining....good luck
