okay guys so I just bought a 2013 Civic LX about 2 weeks ago and I hit a pebble or something on the road and I didn't realize I hit it until like 3 days later when I came outside and saw a good size crack on my windshield I went to the dealer and talk to the service department and spoke with one of the girls that was there didn't know much she was just like oh well my manager isn't here if you need to talk to my manager he will be here next Saturday in the morning will the dealer cover this or will I have to pay the $870 she quoted me for the windshield and installation

 

This is an insurance issue, not warranty.

Your windshield doesn't have a warranty, neither do your tires, brake pads/rotors, etc.

Call a place like Safelite and have them quote you for new glass.

 

So i found a place in my area that will do it for $250 installed which seems alot more reasonable replacing the glass wouldnt affect my bumper to bumper warranty would it since its not an authentic honda part

 

Yeah its $670 for the windshield and 200 for installation

 

Just as a sidenote - they were ripping you off badly quoting you that.

The list price for the part is $525, Majestic there will sell it to you at practically cost which is $370. They likely wouldn't ship that part to you, but your dealership was marking the price up a crazy amount.
