Hey guys,
I have a quick issue with my GSR. I know my 2nd gear is completely shot. It only engages when I ram it into second. That is not my issue, but I'm wondering if it might contribute to my problem.
I can put the car into reverse no problem. When I clutch in and slowly release the clutch, it reverses perfectly fine, however, when I re-engage the clutch, it feels like the car jerks forward. Can somebody help me diagnose this issue? Could it have to do with my shot tranny?
Thanks!

Tranny needs rebuilding. Sounds like ur gears in ur tranny are worn.

I bought a new flywheel, clutch, and I have a fresh LS tranny ready to go. Do you guys think this might fix my problem or could it have something to do with my master/slave? This doesn't happen in first gear!
You could simply no-clutch shift into second. it's one of the most difficult shifts due to the wide rpm range that the gear could be in.

I can throw it into second but it won't stick, I have to ram it in to make it stick!
Would bad or missing motor mounts cause my reverse to be so weird?
Im kind of questioning why the car would jerk forward when I pressing down the clutch instead of backwards since Im in reverse gear. Are the gears somehow hitting the reverse gear? Once it warms up I want to tear the tranny apart and look at how the gears connect.
Thanks a lot for all the help guys!! Some very useful advice!

okay! Thanks for the information! That was extremely helpful! At this point, I guess I will wait for the weather to warm up and swap out the transmission!
Thanks!
Thanks!
