B18b swap need help
Ok guys, I know this swap has been done a thousand times and i have come up with no solution to my problem, which is.. I swapped out a b18b into my 96 integra which had a b18b1 in it. Bought the jdm ecu which was also plp... So the care cranks over but still getting no fire to the distributor and I cant figure out what is causeing this. All grounds are checked.. the distributor is brand new along with wires and plugs. Fuses are all good, What am i missing?
This might be a dumb question, but is the harness for the distributor connected all the way? Also have you swapped any of your old parts from your old engine onto the new one?

^no...that's a good question.
If OP bought an OBD1 distributor, he might be able to plug it into his OBD2A chassis harness connector, but the two pin connector on the distrubutor side for distributor power will not plug into anything.

I swapped nothing of importance to make the old engine work with the new one. My only problem is I can't seem to get spark to the distributor/or plugs. I still haven't been able to run a diagnostics test to see what code is throwing.. but if I where to put the usdm ecu back in.. I would have to run the ckf bypass.. and im trying not to do that.

The CKF bypass takes 25.3 seconds. You're making it sound like a task. Besides that...CKF codes won't prevent it from starting. Plug your old ECU back in.
Is the car puffing or backfiring when you try and start it?

So it started? Was your firing order correct? I screwed it up one time and when i tried started it, it wouldn't start, and it would back fire a lot.
If it did start, leave the USDM ecu in and swap the dizzy's, so new one in and old one out. See if it's still okay. If it is, then your problem lies within your Jdm ecu.
