coolant bleed valve on 98 civic DX?
hello,
about 2 weeks ago I had my radiator replaced. days after my car started to slightly overheat (no smoking from hood) just my temp gauge going up and down. also my heat isn't going as full as it used to. also some coolant loss. not a major loss of coolant however. a buddy of mine suggested that I had air in my coolant lines. is this the problem? if not what could it be and around how much to fix!

Its free to do it yourself.
Make sure the car is cold.
Open the radiator cap and try to squeeze the bottom radiator hose with 2 hands and youll see some air will actually come out. Youll see some bubbling.
Fill up until radiator to full
Start the car and turn your heater all the way
Itll take some time for your car to heat up to its normal temperature and youll notice that theres air coming out making bubbles from the radiator. Wait until you dont see anymore bubbling. Its not that hard really.
Friendly advice it will get messy so be ready. You can use those catch pan that you can buy on walmart that goes in the radiator but if you dont care about the mess then its all up to you.
I hope i didnt make it too complicated
