Default 97 del sol driver side wheel

Hey all,

I have been having issues with my driver side wheel not spinning properly. Right now, I can drive the car fine but it feels like I'm going slower than usual. On 2 very cold days, the wheel completely seized and would not spin. Looking for any help possible, can't find an answer to this.

Inspect the brake caliper. Sounds like it's seized from your description.

Looked at it and it's not seized, also checked axle, bearings, and they were good but I had to force the rotor to move. Buddy I know said it might be warped.

If it's warped you should be able to feel it when driving, especially when you brake.

If you don't have any vibration when cruising or pulsing in the pedal when braking then it's more likely a stuck caliper piston like OmarR was eluding to.

This is how I would attack this.

jack up front end and remove wheel, place car in neutral

First look for something stuck between rotor and backing plate, might have kicked something up in there

next, remove brake caliper if wheel turns freely the problem is in the brakes

if that doesn't fix it, you probably need to disconnect the half shaft. At that point you can really check the wheel bearing, if it turns freely you have a really bad CV joint or a transmission problem.
