autometer air/fuel guage help!!!
im installing a autometer air/fuel guage in my 92 h22 civic and want to hook it up to the ecu not the o2 sensor itself, but just want to know exactly what pin do i need to wire the signal wire to?? i was told it to be d14 but just need to make sure, also what would be a good power source and ground for the guage?? thanks
Well I know that on my ecu it was D14, but I've got a 93 D16Z6 so I'm not sure your ecu will be the same. Sorry I can't help more. Good Luck.
If you're using an OBD1 prelude ECU (P13) in your swap, you want to wire the purple wire off the gauge to D14 like said above......it should be a solid white wire....
If it's OBD2, then it's pin D7

Hmm.. Just wanted to throw this in.. But doesn't the O2 Sensor mesaure resistance.?.. And by through a load in parallel or series it affects the resistance in that circuit. Which in turn gives the ECU a bogus reading...
Correct me if I'm wrong....

From what I've also heard bad idea to tap off ECU. I was gonna do that and my friend strongly suggested about 6inches from the O2 sensor.
It really doesn't make a difference... The hotter an oxyen sensor is the more voltage it generates.... It really has nothing to do with resistance... I personally like to tap directly off the ECU... Not only does it look cleaner, but then if you ever have to pull the motor, you're not goin to have to unsolder the wires...
