If America doesn't get this car pretty much all my faith in this company is lost and I'll happily live in the 90s when they made fun/cool cars (s2000 and 06-11 si not included)
m_shake, don't count on it... Most of the cool cars are excluded because North Americans are regarded as 'juvenile' when it comes to driving...hence the lack of reform acne cars for the masses...
Reports are that the Type-R will NOT be offered in the U.S. Apparently, Honda does feel that there is enough interest in America in this car.
Oh well, maybe that engine will end up in the Si.

After watching all of these "special" models over the year being offered only over sea's, I question any such model being released here in NA....I hope I'm wrong!
I believe the new CTR did set the fastest lap time record at the Nurburgring though. It would be quite interesting if it did show up stateside.
Along with the idea that we are juveniles in racing, we have NASCAR for god sakes, IMO it's tough racing but there is hardly any right handers minus two tracks during the year, otherwise you're in the wall. I agree with that thought.

Just figured I would add... The 125 limiter claim isn't true from what I have read. It could have as much as 300. an LSD is a guarantee and the rear suspension is actually supposed to be different from the base model. As in it will be fully independent! It'll be a performer too! After it's going for the fastest Front Wheel Drive record at the Nurburgring! Can't go wrong with that! Here is a pic of a test mule of the car.
One of the test drivers named Gabriele Tarquini spoke very highly of the car after driving it on the Nurburgring. The car is taking all of it's feedback from the Honda World Touring Car Championship program after all. Keep an eye on this one guys. It looks interesting! There are a few NSX engineers involved with this project!

Name one Honda that revs that high in stock form without even a tune. Bikes don't count.
