Well, the five door hatch is go, and it will only be available in Type R trim. That indicates that they're probably handling it like they did with the EP3 Si and bringing the overseas version here as-is as possible, but that part is speculation. The thing at the top of this page also indicates that there will be some Acura trim of it.

I really wish the i-dtec was available here in the states though. Would've been fun to tinker with.

Diesel in cars is dead in the US following this 'dieselgate'. The EPA is only getting more strict. Its a real shame, too. I also have a '14 Jetta TDi and it's a fantastic car.

More photos surface, and I do believe there is an H behind the camo. Though this could also be a Si model.
Based on wing, next Civic Type R may go eleventy billion mph

Here's a look at the production model USDM CTR test mule. The ILX hatch seen earlier would have just been a chassis test mule.
So it looks like the USDM CTR will be different from the rest of the world, at least in exterior styling. Thoughts?

I was just perusing some documentations. Sadly, it's a twist beam rear again (the FK2 is, at least). Front suspension looks cool though. Still technically a Mac strut, but has a knuckle that pivots separately from the lower strut mount. I had to stare at it a bit to figure out what is going on.

Re: 2015 Civic Type R
Man, I thought it couldn't get worse... it looks like an updated CRX with a ILX front end slapped on there LOL! Sorry, but that coupe is disgusting!!! Sedan or nothing at this point, but I definitely see some cues from the Ford Focus in the coupe...

It doesn't look that bad... kinda digging it for some reason!
I like that they made it lighter... curious on the actual hp/tq numbers... I guess the high revving days will soon be gone cause of the turbo era kicking in. Something about a nice N/A Honda was always special... let's see how it plays out before judging too much.

It dont look tooooo bad.. How the back end slopes down, remind me of the newer eclipse and a hyundai tiburon had a fling.. Liking the tail lights.. Boat of a car.
