fuel cell venting
So my dad has been talking about putting a fuel cell in his 91 hatch. I have heard things about how they dont vent like a normal gas tanks back into the intake. So my question is if he runs a cell in the hatch would it just vent in the cabin and could be a health concern. Allso considering this is a street car not just a weekend track deal. I am aware of the legal matter of the fuel cell. Which brings me too my next question if there was a properly vented cell in a trunk is there away to be street legal? Becouse I wouldent mind putting one in my crx either. Any input would be great thanks
You deffinately don't want to vent it inside. Vent it to the atmosphere, and make sure its grounded as well.
Overall this is a very dangerous idea! You definately won't be able to take it to a track that way, they are going to want to see that all sealed up behind a firewall away from the drivers compartment.
